The Centre is inviting applications for the position of Child and Youth Family Worker.

Job Summary:
Provides support social services to adults, children and/or youth. Position includes crisis intervention, behaviour management, parenting and life skills training, either on a one-to-one basis or in a group environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Social Work or Degree in Child and Youth Work, with a minimum of two (2) years practical experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience;
• Knowledge of theory principles and practices in the field;
• Demonstrated ability to teach skills and work effectively with others;
• Good written and oral communication skills;
• Ability to work independently and as an exceptional team member
• Mediation skills
• Applicants with lesser qualifications may be considered at a lesser classification.

You must have a valid BC driver's license, a reliable vehicle and valid automobile insurance as per Agency policy. A criminal record check is mandatory.

Position is 34 hours per week. Wage: $19.01 to $21.34. Employee benefit package.
