Our Centre
An Inclusive Space
Services at the Cariboo Family Enrichment Centre (CFEC) are available to all community members, regardless of their race, colour, ethnic or national origins, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, marital status, disability or age. CFEC fosters an environment in which people or groups can feel confident that they will not be exposed to discrimination, criticism, harassment or any other emotional or physical harm.
Additionally, our employees take a trauma-informed approach to interactions made with clients and visitors.
Accessibility
CFEC has two designated parking spots, one for persons with disabilities and one for expectant parents. We have a wheelchair accessible entrance with a button-activated door opener.
We also have non-gendered single-occupancy washrooms with grab bars and diaper changing stations.
Communicable Disease/COVID-19 Safety Plan
As of October 24, 2021, CFEC requires all participants of group courses or drop-in groups to present proof of full vaccination (BC Vaccine Card plus picture ID). Proof of vaccination is not mandatory for CFEC’s other services, such as Counselling or Family Support meetings. Masks are required to be worn indoors by all clients or visitors ages 5 and up. Physical distancing of 2 metres (6 feet) between one another must be maintained. Hands will be sanitized upon entry. Hand sanitizer and masks are available to clients and visitors upon entry.
